White damsel (Eng) – Dischistodus perspicillatus (Lat) (family Pomacentridae) – grows up to 18 cm. It feeds on algae, detritus. Inhabits shallow lagoons and reef slopes. Depth 2-12 m. Recognizable by white body with dark saddle-lile blotches on the back.
